Gillian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Women and Gender Studies, a Master of Social Work (MSW), and is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers in good standing. Gillian has 7+ years of experience supporting children, youth and families facing complex challenges in the role of protection, advocacy, and case management. Gillian has worked with clients to increase physical and emotional safety, to identify and work towards personal goals, find clarity, improve wellness and their ability to cope with various life stressors. She creates a warm and welcoming environment that is inclusive to all. Gillian has extensive experience providing care and support in urgent response/crisis intervention. She offers support in many different areas including anxiety, depression, relationships, domestic abuse, family conflict, and more. She has experience using various modalities such as Narrative Therapy, CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and is committed to taking a person-centered and strengths-based approach. Monika holds an MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Ottawa University) and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Addiction Counselling (Georgian College). Monika was born and raised in Parry Sound and has worked in the counselling field for four years.

Monika began her work as an adult and youth addiction counsellor in the public sector where she developed a passion for working with youth and for trauma. Monika takes a client-centered approach by incorporating a variety of different theories and treatment approaches to meet clients where they are at and tailor treatment to their individual needs. She believes the client-therapist relationship is important for client success. Monika has experience working with people struggling with substance use, depression, anxiety, life stress, relationship conflict, trauma, and grief and loss.

She is passionate about expanding her knowledge and expertise as a psychotherapist. She is an addiction counsellor, a certified clinical trauma practitioner, certified in couples counselling, and is EMDR trained. Monika uses a holistic approach that integrates a variety of humanistic, cognitive, emotional, and behavioural interventions. She has training in and practices a variety of different treatment approaches including CBT, DBT, MI, EFCT, IFS, EMDR, and Gottman Method.

Ian is an Ontario Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner with over 8 years of experience working in the mental health field. He holds of Master’s of Science in Nursing through Laurentian University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Nipissing University.

Ian provides diagnostic services, assessments, pharmacotherapy and medication management, close follow-up, letters for accommodations, and referrals. He works with children, youth, adults, and seniors, with expertise in managing anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, addictions, PTSD and trauma, neurocognitive disorders, and other psychiatric conditions.
